Regency Place Joins The Tockwith Community To Raise Christmas Funds For Charity

A significant date in the Tockwith calendar is the Living Advent Launch Party now into it’s fifth year and held annually at Tockwith Church. On a cold winter’s afternoon and evening,  the village turned out to party and enjoy pizza, drinks at the fully stocked bar and the opportunity to browse the craft stalls for Xmas gifts and pick up some of the delicious takeaway food available for sale.

The highlight of the evening was the Grand Light Switch On which was met with cheers from the Tockwith crowd gathered outside in the church grounds.

The aim of the event is to raise money for charity as the Tockwith Church council supports a number of organisations which are reviewed annually – support has been provided to local, national and even international charities, to help provide funding for good causes and to make a difference to those who need it.

It was the first time that Evans Homes and Regency Place have been involved in the event and support was provided to create and run  a very popular Lucky Dip stall to raise money for charity.

Jayne Gibson, Site Sales Advisor from Savills said: “It was wonderful to be able to be involved in this special Xmas event in Tockwith village and do some fundraising for the local charity. There was a lot of interest in our stall and lucky winners took away chocolate and drinks to  enjoy over the Xmas period as we raised money ”.

Sarah McBride, from Tockwith Church, said: “Thanks to Evans Homes and Regency Place for offering their support this year and we really appreciate their involvement in the event, helping us raise funds for charity”
